Miranda Ward is a freelance writer, editor and lecturer based in the UK. She has a PhD in cultural geography from Royal Holloway, University of London, where her research centred on the geographies of lap swimming and the indoor swimming pool. She is particularly interested in the relationship between space, place and the body.
Her memoir ADRIFT: FIELDNOTES FROM ALMOST-MOTHERHOOD, is forthcoming from Weidenfeld & Nicolson. She is represented by Harriet Moore at David Higham Associates.
She grew up on a cattle ranch in California and now lives in Oxford.
